As a student from a maritime major, you may have many questions about your rights and obligations as a seafarer. BTB-ABVV Maritime Sectors can answer all your questions about life at sea. You can become a member of our union for free, and we can work together to defend the rights of all seafarers.
To acquaint maritime students with life aboard a seagoing vessel, BTB-ABVV Maritime Sectors initiated sea familiarization trips, also known as marinages. During the trip, you will have certain rights and duties, both on and off the ship. You can find more information about sea familiarization trips and your rights as a seafarer on our website.
